I plan to cite information from your website for a report for school, specifically from “We’ve Got Work to Do: Workplace Discrimination and Employment Challenges for Trans People in Ontario”. I’m a student at Seneca College and the project is for my Human Resources Management course. We have to write about discrimination in the workplace and I chose to write about Melissa Hudson, the transgender woman who faced discrimination and unemployment. I feel that it’s extremely unfair for transgender people to face employment discrimination and in spite of having laws against this in place, it still happens at alarming rates. I’m hoping that by writing my report, I will not only talk about an important issue but also educate myself more on a topic that at this point, I don’t know enough about.
