I am teaching the Data Management unit for a grade 6 class and I’ve used some of the “Who are Trans People in Ontario” information as raw data for my students to graph. For example, they’ve looked at the data about the sexual orientation of trans people in order to make double bar graphs. I really appreciate access to this research because with it, I’m able to integrate social studies into our math lessons. After graphing, we examine and interpret the information as a class, discussing trans identity as well as the intersections of and differences between gender identity and sexuality/sexual identity. Thank you very much for undertaking this project and making your findings available!

Teaching! Your organisation is fantastic. I have used your materials in Introductory and Women, Gender and Health courses. I teach in French so I wanted to let you know that your French materials and translations have been really useful. There isn’t very much out there that deals with Ontario (as opposed to Montreal and Quebec)–but communities and in particular health care infrastructure are different. Keep up the excellent research and advocacy!

We have created an infographic (http://transstudent.org/youthsupport) based on “Impacts of Strong Parental Support for Trans Youth”. Since it was released, this graphic has been on thousands of web sites and blogs and has been seen by hundreds of thousands of people.
