We cited the lifetime suicide attempt rate of 43% among trans people in our article about suicide protective factors among trans adults. We also cited the following in our section about suicide risk factors among trans people: “Scanlon et al. (2010) found that, of the participants who reported experiencing suicidal ideation in the past year, 47% had experienced physical or sexual assault at some point in their lives due to being trans. Of the participants who reported attempting suicide in the past year, 29% had experienced physical or sexual assault at some point due to being trans.”
